[Testo disponibile solo in inglese] Ars Electronica has accompanied the ongoing digitalization of our lives since 1979. It poses questions about the political, social, ecological, and economic consequences, and speculates on the future forms that technological progress will take. Embedded in a worldwide network of artists, scientists, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and activists, Ars Electronica constantly advances this research – both within and together with the widest possible public. Whether with exhibitions, conferences, concerts, performances, or interventions – the goal has always been to push forward a discourse and promote inclusive and sustainable visions of the future.

Ars Electronica once again invites artists, scientists, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, and activists from all over the world to partecipate at the Europe’s largest festival for art, technology and society. The event focuses on the question: “Who Owns the Truth?”.
Experience firsthand how new technologies are changing our lives. Discover for yourself how machine learning, VR, robotics or biotech can contribute to socially and ecologically sustainable progress. Discuss at eye level what rights and obligations we should have as digital citizens. Getting to know people from all over the world who want to help shape the future of all of us critically but optimistically.

There will also be the winners of Golden Nicas and they must make a commitment to accepting their awards and to presenting their works at the Prix Ars Electronica Forum, an artist symposium. Groups and institutions are requested to nominate a representative to fulfill this commitment.

Ars Electronica stands for all of this. We’re looking forward to you being a part of it, too!
