Like every little boy, he used to dismantle every electronic device which is emitting a sound. Besides, some of them are still waiting to be winded up…Then, as he was an only son, he made a lot of interviews of himself using many cassette recorders and created shaggy-dog reports. He explored his parents’jazz vinyls of the 60’s but he soon prefered New beat and Acid House music which invaded Europe. Fate decreed that he ‘d run after the utopian perfect playlist : from italian sound effect engineer ro the Residents, from Kraftwerk to LCD sounsystem and finally from the Velvet Undergound to the Dandy Warhols.
After his collaboration for the « moyen-métrage » « Bed & Breakfast » (with Ellen Feiss, directed by Loïc Moreau, Martin Beilby in 2006), Thomas who is attracted by experimental images and multimedia, Karina for the JUNK FOOD project.
Karina
Soon attracted by Fine Arts, Karina was attending drawing evening class which initiated her to different techniques : drawing, ink, collage, pastels and painting… In 2006, tikled by multimedia arts but scared by computers at the same time, Karina grins and bears it and decides to attend veejaying introduction classes made by Laurent Carlier (Vision’R). That’s where she meets A-li-ce who invites her to join the Home Made collective. Once’s she was familiar to computers’softwares, she was able to integrate plastics and manual techniques ( collage, drawing, theatre, puppets) to her work. She tries to express her quest for identity and space and time basis in an unstable world. She decides to collaborate with Thomas on the JUNK FOOD project in order to see how she can confront her experiences and her sensitivity with Thomas’s point of view.
