[Testo disponibile solo in inglese] I propose to perform my latest Audio Visual album in its entirety to a live audience at LPM Rome 2012. Titled “GaChang Studio”, this album explores various themes including death, ecstasy and environmentalism. The musical style ranges from ambient, trip-hop to techno, where each song is accompanies by a custom designed visual. Together this album takes the view to a place that's both mythical and fantastic.
In the summer of 2011, I was living in DaeGu, South Korea participating in an artist residency program, with the goal of composing my own electronic music and design visual that will expresses each song. Working with the rendering limitations, I continue to cherish the 80's vector graphical look of Processing. Musically I'm inspired by electronica, mixing synthesizer sounds with vocal samples to create texture and theme to each tracks. MIDI is used to connect Ableton Live with Processing where each note can trigger a visual element. Additionally AV effects are implemented to create an immersive audio visual experience.
