[Text available only in English] Within a 2m × 2m area surrounded by the audience, eight robots move randomly under a white floor projection. At the center, a performer wearing geta (traditional wooden sandals) sits with their head lowered, observing the robots. THE CLUSTERs consists of two scenes that transition from stillness to movement. Sensors embedded in the geta turn the performer’s footsteps into signals that control the robots. As the light fades and the room darkens, an electronic beat comes in, and the robots gradually glow red. The performer stands and stamps the floor; in response, the robots switch between marching and stopping. Through this simple repetition, their movements begin to align, and synchronization spreads throughout the entire space, including sound and projection. The wooden sound of the geta merges with the electronic beat, bringing tradition and technology into a single rhythm. This “cluster” works not through mobilization, but through shared timing: a dance between a human and robots.
